Based in the Portland Metro area with members in Oregon City, Salem, Portland, Aloha, Tillamook and more!Incorporated in 2003, Raven Off-Road OHV Club was started to pursue the interest of the OHV community in a new way. Since most clubs are structured around the vehicle class (Type I, II, or III), we just didn't fit that classification and decided to start anew. Raven Off-Road was based on our love of the OHV experience regardless of the type of vehicle we chose to achieve it in. We are also a large believer in giving back to the community that we live in by donating time and funds to help clean up dump sites, adopt families and community areas and just over all be available when we are needed for our special niche. We are a family driven club, always remembering that today's child is tomorrow's future, by teaching them now, we are preserving our way of life for generations to come.Raven Off-Road is involved in the following but definitely not limited to...
When considering to become a member, here are our guidelines:CONSTITUTION & BY-LAWS Composed 6/2003 Article 1: NAME Sec. A: This organization shall be known as Raven Off-Road OHV Club, (here-by referenced as ROROHVC). Sec. B: This organization has been incorporated within the State of Oregon as of July 2003. Sec. C: This organization will also be recognized by the on-line community as http://www.rorohvc.com Article 2: OBJECTIVES Sec. A: ROROHVC was created for the purpose of providing organized recreation and public service by users of off-highway vehicles. Sec. B: ROROHVC will promote the techniques of Tread Lightly © and the responsibility of maintaining an off-highway vehicle. Article 3: MEMBERSHIP AND DUES Sec. A: All licensed owners of off-highway vehicles are eligible for club membership. (Class I, II & III are all eligible.) Sec. B: There is no limit to number of active and/or honorary memberships. Sec. C: Any member whose conduct is detrimental to the purpose and standing of the club will be subject to expulsion from the club, subject to the decision of the Board of Directors. Effective immediately at time of decision. Sec. D: Primary applicants must be at least 18 years of age. 1. Junior applicant's (4-18 years of age) may join with waiver of release signed by Parent or Legal Guardian. Sec. E: Dues shall be $30 new member / $20 renewal per member family per calendar year beginning Jan 1st. 1. Membership covers 2 club stickers & access to member's only section of online forum. Sec. F: Any member whose dues are one month in arrears will be dropped from the membership rolls. Sec. G: When an active member disposes of and no longer possesses an off-highway vehicle, for more than 3 months, their membership will become inactive for one calendar year, then terminate if no other off-highway vehicle is purchased after that time. Sec. H: Active members will be able to vote for club officers, hold office and represent the club in social matters. Sec. I: Applicants must attend at least three club events (one over-night event) and two club meetings before pledging to join, unless sponsored by a current club member in which case only one overnight event and one meeting must be attended. Article 4: MEETINGS Sec. A: Shall be held on the 1st Tuesday of every month. Sec. B: Will be held at Round Table Pizza in Lake Oswego. Sec. C: Will begin at 7 PM, and continue no later than 9 PM. Sec. D: No Host will be provided, please plan accordingly. Sec. E: Member's family (all ages) is encouraged to attend, provided they do not become a distraction from the meeting. Article 5: OFFICERS (Board of Directors) PRESIDENT: Shall preside over all membership and Board of Directors meetings. VICE PRESIDENT: Shall, in the absence of the President, serve in that capacity. Shall also serve as Parliamentarian. SECRETARY: Shall keep and preserve all club records and minutes of club meetings. Shall take the roll and handle all the written correspondence of the Club. CLUB CONTACT: He shall be ready to answer any and all questions concerning club matters for the public. Article 6: RULES AND PROCEDURES Unless otherwise specified in these By-laws, Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the parliamentary procedure. Article 7: AMENDMENTS These By-laws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote at club meeting. Article 8: DISSOLUTION In the event of dissolution, all debts shall be paid, all borrowed property returned, and bank balance, if any, shall be given 50% to SOLV of Oregon and 50% to the Blue Ribbon Coalition.
